I found this to be a particularly inviting stretch of coastline. Lined by palm trees and clear, glistening water you can walk down this beach staring at mountain ridges in the distance. When you want to stop and simply admire the view or relax and read a book, the trees are the perfect distance apart for tying up a hammock.
An open stretch of sand, the only sign of activity on this little inlet was my own fading footprints. Enjoying the view, the beach, and the water without distraction transported me to my own personal paradise. Looking back on this photo, I found myself feeling swallowed up by the scene, not sure of how to describe it. Then I realized the reason for this is the absence of thought when your mind can feel clear and free to drift across the horizon.
Something about this scenery stopped me in my tracks. Driving north along the east side of the island, I glanced back at a familiar spot and saw something new. Making a quick u-turn I flipped my car around and walked along the shoreline with my camera. The water and sky here shone with different lighter shades of blue than the darker gray skies than often cloud this part of the island typically allow. I relished in the bright blue hues, enjoying the calming sea foam colors that seem to subconsciously decorate my life. This is one of my favorite shots.
